Hi, William, Don't give up hope yet. Fritillaria are fickle things and can sometimes be short-lived. Since you just planted it this spring, and it seemed happy without flowering, I would give it until next year. If it doesn't flower next year, move it to a sunny spot with very well-drained soil - it cannot tolerate poorly drained conditions and is very prone to rot. Kathy C
I bought my "Fritillaria imperialis 'Aurora'" earlier this spring it was well developed but had no flowers, now it appears to have completely died off, i have been told that this is normal, however I am unsure as it really looks like it has had it. Can anyone please advise me as to whether this is the case, will it com back next season or shall I compost it, Can supply a picture if needed.
William Stewart.
