Fuchia genii - can I move it?

Fuchia genii - can I move it?

We have just moved in to a house with a garden full of overgrown shrubs. We will have to make drastic changes. There are two established fuchias. I wondered if it is possible to move these shrubs. If so when would be the best time to do it and if not what is the best alternative?

    Hi, Jackie,
The best time to move established Fuchsia is in spring. Make sure it is late spring, get as much of the rootball as you can, making as little damage to the roots as possible. If you can, move them on a cloudy day to reduce the chance of the roots drying out. Make sure it is firmly planted in its new hole and keep it regularly watered (just not overwatered) as it establishes.
