Finding out too late

Finding out too late

Question from Shoot User

I am just reading how I should have been caring for my cordyline and it seems I should have been protecting it over winter & covering the leaves. It is now looking very sorry for itself and the leaves are droopy. Is there anything I can do to save it & help it recover? Thanks, Julie

It's possible that it will recover on its own if protected from further frosts, with new leaves growing in place of the damaged ones. In the past, I've cut off all the leaves only to have new ones grow from the crown. If the crown is damaged, though, it may not recover!
