Hi Michelle - this is a UK based website. All of our how to care advice is timed for a UK climate as a result. It might be best to get accurate advice for your garden from local garden experts. Kind regards, Nicola

We moved into a new house and the Francis Mason hedge have been neglected for 3 years while the house was empty. I now need to prune the size down with about 60cm - can I do this and how do I do this. It is now spring in South Africa.

Hi Robin,

A general balanced fertiliser should suffice, but if you do want to buy specialist stuff I've found this page at World of Ferns selling some.

This (and all feed) should be applied in the growing season.

For more care instructions add the plant to your 'plants I have' list: Dicksonia antartica.

Hope this helps.

Hi
I have a couple of Dicksonia Antartica Tree Ferns and was wondering where the best place is to but feed for them. None of my local garden centres stock any liguid Tree Fern Feed.
