Eryngium giganteum

Hi Lisa,

This plant is biennial, but self seeds freely so should be a self perpetuating presence in the garden.
To grow in containers you may wish to collect seeds from the seedhead and pot them on yourself.

Remember to add it to your ‘plants I have’ list to receive regular care instructions. [LINK]https://https://www.shootgardening.com/plant/eryngium-giganteum?referrer=%2Fplant%2Fsearch%3Fq%3DEryngium+giganteum[/LINK].

Hope this helps!

I have always wanted this plant and am thrilled with the one I purchased in a pot earlier this year. It is flowering well. But I was very disappointed to find it described in this month's Gardeners World magazine as a "biennial" which will die after flowering. Your database describes it as a perennial. Can you reassure me it should be there (and hopefully improved!) next year?
