Leaf Spot on Photinias

Our two standard photinias and our "little red robin" are affected by leaf spot, exactly as illustrated in the example shown on the site. I would appreciate advice on how to deal with this.

    Hi!
Leaf spot on Photinias is caused by the fungus called Entomosporium. The fungus overwinters on infected leaves/branches from the previous year. Wet weather in spring disperses spores, which then infect new growth. Leaves can be infected during wet weather, and again in autumn during wet weather. There are a number of things to do to combat leaf spot. Make sure your Photinia is in sun with good air circulation. Remove and destroy infected leaves, including fallen leaves. If twigs/branches are infected, prune them off. If you irrigate, avoid overhead watering. Finally, apply a copper-based fungicide 3-4 times in spring when buds are breaking. Continue regular treatment throughout spring until drier weather resumes.
    Hope this is helpful.
