Hello Kathy, Thanks for responding. FF been in pot for at least three years. Used sequestrene two weeks ago and we're waiting to see if it improves things. Don't think it's too much water.....never rains here! Photos attached.

Hi, Kim & Roger, Two possibilities come to mind - either too much water or the compost isnt acidic enough. Also, how long has it been in the pot? If it hasn't been repotted or root-pruned in three or four years, it probably needs fresh compost and a check to see that the roots are not girdling. Have you had a chance to check the growing requirements for 'Forest Flame' here on Shoot? The plant page for it might have some answers for you. Any chance you could post a photo? All the best, Kathy C

Hello, I would cut it back after flowering to avoid frost damage. They take quite well to pruning but don't get too secateur happy! Kate Ornamental Tree Nurseries
I have a forest flame that is getting a bit too big for the space. Is it OK to cut it back and if so, when should I do this and are there any guidelines on how best to so it?
