Cultivation

In frost-free areas, grow in sandy, preferably neutral to acid soil in a sheltered, sunny site. Tolerates hot, dry conditions, alkaline soil, and low soil fertility. Will be shorter if grown in exposed, coastal positions. Resents root disturbance. Under glass, grow in loam-based compost in full light. In growth, water freely & feed monthly.
