Cultivation

Plant in moderately fertile, well drained soil in full sun. Tolerates a wide range of soil and moisture conditions but will not tolerate extremely wet winter conditions. Tolerates light shade and seasonal flooding. Grow under glass or as an annual in frost-prone areas. Typically cultivated as a pasture or grazing grass. Classified as an invasive, noxious weed in parts of Australia.
