Cultivation

Grow in poor to moderately fertile, neutral to alkaline, well-drained soil in full sun. Tolerates extreme drought. Will not tolerate waterlogged conditions. Will be short-lived and less aromatic in moist, fertile soil. Excellent for stabilizing dry banks and slopes or use as groundcover. Where native, tends to hybridise with A. tridentata. Grows at elevations from 1,400-3,400m (4,600-11,000').
