Additional plant details

Cultivation

Grow outdoors in frost-free areas in well-drained, neutral to acid soil in sun. Best in areas with dry summer but will tolerate humidity. Suitable for coastal plantings since it tolerates strong winds and salt spray. Where native, usually grows as a small tree in inland areas and a compact, spreading shrub in coastal situations. Under glass, grow in equal mix loam, grit & peat with ventilation in full light. In growth, water moderately & feed at half-strength monthly; sparingly in winter.
