Additional plant details

Cultivation

Best grown in moist but well-drained soil in full sun or partial shade. Plant hedges in from late autumn to late winter. Do not plant in frozen soil. Dig in organic material prior to planting. Space plants 60cm apart. For a wider hedge, plant in a staggered, double row 45cm apart with 90cm between plants. Plant the roots only -avoid burying any part of the stem. Avoid waterlogged conditions, coastal sites, strong winds, and heavy clay. Excellent choice for British, native, wildlife hedging.
