Celtis africana (White stinkwood)

Cultivation

Prefers fertile, deep, moist or moist but well-drained loam in full sun. Will grow in poor, sandy or saline soil but may only reach shrub height/habit in those conditions. Tolerates drought but performs better with regular irrigation in dry periods. Tends to reach approximately 12m tall in cultivation, 25m in the wild. Has a fairly aggressive root system so plant away from permanent structures.
