Species
C. x latifolia is a spreading, nearly thornless, evergreen tree with drooping branches bearing ovate to broadly lance-shaped, dark green leaves and, primarily in winter, faintly purple-flushed, white flowers followed by oval to elliptic, seedless, edible green fruit ripening to pale yellow. Flowers and fruit may be produced throughout the year.

Under glass, grow in loam-based compost in full light with shade from hot sun. In growth, water freely, mist daily & feed every 2-3 weeks; sparingly in winter. Outdoors, grow in moist but well-drained, neutral to slightly acid soil in full sun.
