Cultivation

Under glass, grow in loam-based compost with added leaf mould and grit in bright, filtered light with shade from hot sun. In growth, water freely & feed weekly until flower buds form. Repot infrequently - Clivias resent root disturbance and need a restricted roots to encourage flowering. Outdoors, grow in fertile, humus-rich, well-drained soil in partial shade. A slow-growing, long-lived plant.
