C. graecum is a variable, clump-forming, borderline hardy, tuberous perennial with heart-shaped, silver-marbled, bright to dark green leaves and, in autumn before the leaves emerge, slender, erect stems bearing white to deep pink, usually fragrant flowers with magenta basal marks.
