Bacterial canker

Symptoms - In spring, brown spots develop on leaves often ringed in yellow. These spotted areas later fall out giving a distinctive 'shot hole' appearance. Cankers enlarge rapidly on the stems in spring and stems exude a sticky gum. Leaves on cankered stems are yellow, then rapidly shrivel and die.
