Crown rot

Symptoms - The lower leaves begin to turn yellow and wilt from the margins back towards the base. Leaves can be easily pulled from the base. The base will show a brown and musty texture. Fluffy white threads of fungus may be present on the tissue and soil around the base of the plant.

Water lilies that are affected by crown rot, can die off in entire clumps. Affected plants turn yellow and produce few flowers.
