Cultivation

Grow in moist, fertile soil in sun or light shade in shelter. Plant the stem base 5cm below the soil surface. Water regularly in dry periods. In cold areas, overwinter indoors or provide a deep winter mulch, sheltered from cold drying winds. May be taller & semi-evergreen in mild winters.
