Celtis is a genus of approximately 70 species of deciduous and evergreen shrubs and trees from riverbanks, rocky slopes, or woodland in temperate and tropical regions worldwide with toothed leaves and single or clustered flowers in spring followed by spherical, fleshy fruit.
