Gossypium

Gossypium is a genus of approximately 40 species of perennials and subshrubs found in a variety of habitats in subtropical and tropical regions worldwide with lobed leaves and funnel-shaped flowers followed by seed capsules, many with seeds encased in fluffy fibers.
