Medinilla

Medinilla is genus of about 150 evergreen climbers and shrubs, some epiphytic, from tropical rainforests in Africa, S.E. Asia, and the Pacific with boldly veined leaves and panicles of small, bowl- or star-shaped flowers with large, colourful bracts.
