Species
H. robusta is a large, upright, deciduous shrub, rarely a small tree, with velvety, four-angled stems bearing large, softly hairy, ovate to broadly elliptic, dark green leaves and, from summer into autumn, flattened clusters of tiny, purple fertile flowers surrounded by large, sterile, white flowers turning pale pink with age.
