'Indian Summer' is a vigorous, clump-forming, deciduous, perennial grass with arching, broadly linear, mid-green leaves turning shades of bright red and orange in autumn and, from late summer into autumn, erect stems bearing feathery panicles of maroon to dark purple flower spikelets turning silvery-white with age.
