Species
M. acuminata is a tender, upright, variable, suckering, evergreen perennial with large, paddle-shaped, mid-green leaves, the stems forming a false stem. Pendent, pear-shaped, white, cream, or yellow flowers with purple bracts bloom in summer followed by edible, green fruit, bright yellow when ripe.
