Cultivation

Grow in poor to moderately fertile, gravelly or sandy, well-drained soil in full sun. Tolerates partial sun. Flowering is more abundant at the beginning of the bloom period, becoming sporadic in summer. Excellent drought tolerance once established. Heat tolerant. Protect with a thick, dry winter mulch. Avoid excessive winter wet. Develops a thick taproot can be difficult to transplant once established.
