Species
P. appletonianum is a compact, cool- to intermediate-growing, terrestrial, evergreen orchid with elliptic, mottled, purple and green leaves and, in winter and spring, solitary flowers with a pale green, veined, upper petal, two horizontal, rose-pink and green petals and light brown pouches.
