Symptoms
New growth in the spring is impaired and leaves take on a cupped, crinkled appearance. Sometimes a white liquid drips off leaves, leaving the leaf with a white waxy coating.

Spot them
In spring look for flattened, pale green, wingless nymphs live among the leaves at the shoot tips.
