Hi, Yasmin,
Horrible beasties! If you want to get rid of these pests, and don't mind using chemicals, you can use a systemic (gets into the plant system so when the aphid chomps it, it gets the chemical)) or non-systemic (stays in the soil but the plant doesn't take it up) applied as a soil drench. It has to be enough applied to permeate the roots. You should be able to find something like this at most garden centres. Do you have plants in containers that are infected? If so, and you don't want to use chemicals, you could lift the plants from the pot (if they aren't too big), wash all compost/soil and pests from the roots, discard the old compost, wash the pots thoroughly and repot with fresh compost. Hopefully that will help. Please let me know how you get on.
