Thanks Katy - will look for that solution at the garden centre. Problem is have a woodland garden and everything seems covered in those little blighters but at least can spray the worst effected plants. Next stop...greenfly!

Hi Laura,
Whitefly can be organically controlled using a natural fatty acid spray, you should be able to find this at your local garden centre. Alternatively a natural soap spray can be effective.
Whitefly lay their eggs on the underside of leaves, which form scales as they develop into larvae. It may be worth checking your plants for signs of this, and removing and destroying any leaves that have pale scales on them.

Has anyone else been plagued with these in their garden this month. Never been much of a problem for me but I have noticed them on quite a few plants this year e.g. fuchsia. My tuberous begonias in particular are suffering and looking very leached.
Don't use chemical pesticides so can anyone advise on an organic solution?
