Cultivation

In frost-free areas, grow in well-drained, neutral to alkaline soil in sun. Best in light shade in areas with very hot summers. Drought tolerant once established. Does not tolerate waterlogged conditions or high humidity. Loses leaves at -9C (15F), root hardy to -12C (10F).
