Cultivation

In frost-free areas, grow in poor to moderately fertile, well-drained, sandy soil in full sun. Thrives in hot, dry areas. Tolerates extreme drought and strong winds but not coastal winds. Fixes nitrogen in the soil. Tolerates temperatures down to 10C. Seeds, pods, leaves, and bark are edible.
