Cultivation

Sow seed in autumn in moderately fertile, moist or moist but well-drained soil in full sun. Tolerates light shade. Prepare the area by ridding it of existing weeds, preferably with plastic sheeting or a similar material. If using a turf mat, lay from late spring to late winter. Lay on bare, cultivated soil that has been watered prior to laying, Once laid, water thoroughly. If laid in late spring or summer, will need additional irrigation. If laid in autumn or winter, not additional irrigation is requried.
