Species
S. pratensis is an upright, clump-forming, woody-based, herbaceous perennial with ovate, toothed, wrinkled, mid-green leaves and erect, somewhat sticky-hairy stems bearing terminal spikes of whorled, violet, rarely pink or white flowers in early summer.
