Cultivation

Under glass, grow in loam-based compost in full light with shade from hot sun. In growth, water freely & feed monthly. In frost-free areas, grow in light, fertile, well-drained soil, in full sun or parital shade. Best when it receives morning sun and afternoon shade. Overwinter indoors. Will flower only when mature (approx. seven years from seed) and flowers on a 6-7 year cycle in nature. In cultivation, often dies after its first flowering.
